What to see in Lanzarote in one week: itinerary, Top sights, tourist attractions, things to do...

Arrecife - capital city
|
This is an example of an itinerary in Lanzarote based on my personal experience. It includes TOP SIGHTS in the island.
The most important tourist attractions are situated in the north, so I suggest you to stay 3 nights in the North of the island: the principal touristic village is Costa Teguise.

SEVEN DAYS IN LANZAROTE
You can continue the trip with the visit to the Jardin de Cactus built from Manrique, as well as the most important attractions, it preserves several hundreds variety of cactus, a windmill and a pair of ponds. It is not big and pleasant to visit.
Moving away from the coast, Teguise City, a typical canary village with white houses, a church, a nice square, some shops of souvenir and the Aloe Museum where you can know the various properties of this typical canary plant and its products. Two or three km from the city, on a hill with a beautiful view point there is an ancient castle (now is a history museum).
A few km from this, another beautiful place, Cueva Verde, is a long cave of 1,5 km that entertains a concert hall and a final surprise...
Things to do in lanzarote starting from playa blanca
4th day
You can make a trip on the Volcano Timanfaya and visit the east coastal beaches, with small black and many stones. They are also very windy.
The first attraction you see coming from south is Las Salinas: salt flats; then the beach of Los Hervideros with a beautiful coastal path on the ocean and at the end: El Golfo, a small fishing village with typical houses and restaurants. From here you can take a small walk of 10 minutes to Charco de los Clicos, a small pond to the edge of the ocean.
These places are very visited and queues are often inevitable.
